Experiencing new ideas-a different way to make a quilling wall

In the last period of time I was far away from this place, trying to reconsider everything, to find a new way, to develop a new concept of my crafts. This process started before with a couple of new ideas like the one presented here now. I won't speak to much, the pictures will do that for me.

Medium-large size quilled hexagonal jewelry box.

I've been far from here for a while, prepearing for the market comming next week end. As I have finished with all the stuff today, I will preesent you another jewelry box I quilled not so long ago. It has 11 cm in diameter and 8 cm in height. I choose blue and yellow colours, alternating in horizontal 3 mm wide paper strips. The rest you will see in the pictures.

Miniature flower pots.

Long time ago I bought some miniature ceramic pots, 3 cm in diameter and 3 cm in height, plans to use them later. When their turn came I combined puched flowers with a bit of quilling in order to obtain some miniature flowers. For the stem I used metal wire coated with crepe paper, 160 gsm paper for the leaves  (they've been cuted manually with scissors) and punched flowers to make the petals. As well I used stained egg carton for the soil inside the pot, which has to be strong enough to suport all the stuff above so, I very well glued it around to make a common body with the pot. In the end everything was waterproof coated with varnish. This was the way I obtained couple of 7.5 cm tall miniature flower pots.

Fridge magnets.

I thought that will be a good idea to start making some fridge magnets, I've got the proper materials at home, the design was ready so... . I used some 3 to 4 cm in diameter woodchips I bought some time ago for another purposes and I decided should be nice to make my quilling on top of them, with leaves and roses and have the magnet behind. Look at the result! Hope you like it.
